The London Horns is one of my favourite bands to play in. It’s led by trombonist Barnaby Dickinson and features tons of stellar musicians. The band came about after the horn section (Barnaby, Graeme Blevins (sax) & Graeme Flowers (trumpet) were featured on a world tour with Kylie Minogue. After the tour Barnaby put this band together as a platform to showcase their virtuosic horn section playing (check out their version of Ramblin’).
In 2010, we made our debut album, ‘Don’t Look Down’, featuring myself & the horns, plus Andy Fisenden (drums) and Dishan Abrahams (bass). That album got to number 1 in the iTunes charts for 6 weeks, and it was featured as one of the Best Albums of 2011 by Jazzwise Magazine.
Here’s the studio album – check it out!
